Tuscany Gardens Brush Fire . . .

South Trail units responded to a reported brush fire that was upgraded to a possible structure fire. While enroute, Engine Company 61 reported heavy smoke showing. Upon arrival at 17:19, crews found a heavily involved area of brush and trees between the Bella Casa and Tuscany Gardens apartments.
The fire was spreading to a build-up of pine needles and dried branches on the roof of one of the buildings in Tuscany Gardens. South Trail units extinguished the fire on the roof and brought the brush fire under control at 18:30. The fire burned approximately one acre and did no damage to any structures.
