Excerpts from the Fire Incident Report

  • Engine 61 and Rescue 61, first arriving units, reported heavy fire involvement throughout the structure.

  • Due to the extensive fire throughout the structure it was decided to fight the fire defensively.  Ladder 63 was positioned in the driveway on the south side and utilitized their elevated master stream through various windows and roof opening from the fire.

  • Based on the inability to enter the structure and heavy fire load throughout, the decision was made for Crash Fire Rescue 903 to apply foam on the fire. The Crash truck applied 4 foam applications and the fire was 90% extinguished.

  • The structure was a total loss along with the contents.
