Station #1 on Crystal Drive is the home of the South Trail Safety
House. The Safety House includes a puppet theater and a miniature
fire truck where children watch a video that simulates driving the truck
to a fire. In 2001, South
Trail Fire and Rescue was awarded a $10,000 Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) grant to enhance the Safety House with the addition of a
bedroom in which children can practice escaping from a fire and a safety
library/display room. To
