The South Trail Fire Protection and Rescue Service District  provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to approximately 45,000 District residents.  The South Trail District comprises a 55 square mile area in south Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida, just a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico.
